I just love to hear Reverend Al Sharpton's perspective on things. If you don't believe his rhetoric ,you can at least be entertained by his words. Basketball Wives Season Finale Ends With Lawsuit
Why does it not surprise me that with fist fights being the finale of a show someone will eventually sue. In this case, reality actress Tami of Basketball Housewives added to the drama of the finale by slapping one of the other reality actresses,Meeka. Now Meeka is suing Tami and it appears that Tami believes she is the victim and we all see her throw the first punch. I actually took time out to watch because I bought into the fact that the person who is the "producer" Shaunie O'neil',wife of Shaq in and interview last week said that she was too discouraged by all the negative imaging of women on this show. I just wanted to see how she was going to put pressure on the network for a disclaimer or something. Guess what , she allowed it to stand....no disclaimer...no hotline number for a support group..nothing. So I'm back on the side of the group that is disgusted with how we allow the networks, that don't give black actresses a chance anyway, show an image of black women that is the most disgusting and happily in the minority. When you think all the news has been put to rest for Bishop Eddie Long leader of New Birth Missionary Church in Atlanta,another element to the scandal pops up. In the coverage of the latest scandal they say this accuser is different than the other four accusers. What I really think they wanted to say is that this accuser appears to be more of a "girly-man" than the others. He seems to have been hushed quickly however,running from the cameras for dear life. Well,thanks to a you tube search the reporters have even given us a glimpse of the tattoo of Bishop Eddie Long's name on his wrist. (thanks digital age). I don't think the congregation will or the many pastors other than Bishop Paul Morton will speak to any of the ongoing saga that has really has put a mark on the spirits of so many people. How many men's conferences have you seen or attended that speak to the hurts of men and what damage the father has done to the men?
